Today we made a ‘soft & nutty/seedy’ protein bar recipe that the customer named ‘The black panther (dr Kang)’.
This unique concoction used the following base ingredients:
- Almond butter
- Cashew butter
- Peanut butter
- Coconut nectar
- Coconut flour
- Vegan protein blend
In total, this recipe has 17 ingredients which is more than average.
In addition to coconut flour and coconut nectar, the customer also chose dried shredded coconut and coconut oil. Plenty of coconut flavor should be expected here!
In order make a crunchy/crispy texture, brown rice crisps, chia seeds, and hazelnuts were selected. Oats also got the nod under the ‘flavor and texture enhancers’ section. Although they don’t contribute any crunch, they do increase fiber levels and contribute to a ‘fuller’ consistency.
Freeze-dried cranberries were the only dried fruit added to this concoction. They offer a unique ‘tarty’ flavor.
Under the ‘boosters’ section, the following ingredients were chosen:
- Cacao (chocolatey flavor, antioxidants)
- Ginger (strong flavor, powerful nutrients)
- Wheatgrass (chlorophyll, trace minerals)
Sea salt was added as final ingredient in this recipe
