Today we made a ‘cheat day’ dessert protein bar recipe that the customer named ‘Superstar Bar’.
Here are the ingredients she used for the base:
- Fiber syrup
- Cashew butter
- Chocolate hazelnut butter
- Egg white protein
- Raw grass-fed whey
- Whey isolate
This customer wanted plenty of chocolate flavor in ‘Superstar Bar’, so in addition to using chocolate hazelnut butter in the base they also chose raw cacao powder, cacao nibs, and cocoa rice crisps.
For added caffeine and an intense flavor, Brazilian coffee was selected as one of the ‘flavor & texture enhancers’.
In the ‘nut & seed’ section, hazelnuts and walnuts were the two options selected. Both of these nuts have nice flavor and also contribute some crunch to the bars texture.
In the ‘boosters’ section, cinnamon and ginger were selected. They provide a little heat to this recipe, and also add both flavor and antioxidants.

What to Expect
