Today we made a custom protein bar called ‘Soylent Glop 2019’. The soft & datey base was used here, which uses date paste as one of the main ingredients in the recipe.
The customer selected the following additional base ingredients:
- Sunflower seed butter
- Whey protein isolate
To add texture to the recipe, hazelnuts and chia seeds were also included. These are two of our most popular ingredients in the ‘nut & seed’ category.
The only dried fruit selected was freeze-dried banana pieces, which has an intense recognizable flavor.
The final three ingredients that were used in this recipe that really contribute to flavor are:
- Cacao powder
- Dark chocolate chips
- Vanilla extract
- Sea salt
