Today we made a gourmet protein bar recipe that the customer named ‘Quilt’.
The customer that created this concoction chose the following base ingredients:
- Raw clover honey
- Date paste
- Maple pecan butter
- Cashew butter
- Peanut butter
- Egg protein
- Raw grass-fed whey
- Whey protein isolate
To add texture and some healthy fats, the customer also chose cocoa butter pieces, flaxseeds, almonds, and coconut oil.
Rolled oats, a very popular ingredient, were also selected. They contribute to both flavor and texture, and boost the overall fiber content of the bars.
To ensure plenty of crispiness, the customer used cocoa rice crisps. This are essentially brown rice crisps with the addition of raw cacao.
When it came to fruit, the customer opted for freeze-dried banana and goji berries.
To add a dessert-like flavor, cookie dough and caramel flavors were chosen.
The final ingredient was bee pollen powder. It doesn’t add much in terms of taste, but does contribute antioxidants and powerful nutrients.
