Today we made a bar for Junkbanter that he called ‘PB Banana S’mores’. This concoction turned out to be one of best and most well thought out dessert bars we have made.
‘PB Banana S’mores’ was made with a ‘soft & chewy’ base using peanut butter, fiber syrup, whey protein isolate, and dates as the main ingredients.
Whey isolate is always a great protein choice for dessert bars, because it’s very neutral in flavor. This allows the taste of all of the ‘fun’ ingredients to really shine!
To add some crunchiness, peanuts and brown rice crisps were added.
For a real dessert experience, the recipe combines the following flavor enhancing ingredients:
- Chocolate peanut butter cup pieces
- Freeze-dried banana
- Smores flavor
