Today we made a custom cheat day protein bar recipe that the customer named ‘Hazelnutter’.
Here are the main ingredients used in this tasty creation:
- Date paste
- Chocolate hazelnut butter
- Egg white protein
Brazil nuts were also added as the sole selection under the ‘nuts & seeds’ category. Brazil nuts contain higher levels of the beneficial mineral selenium than any other nut.
The customer decided not to add any dried fruit to this recipe (other than the date paste). They did, however, add oranic pea protein crisps which boost protein levels and add some major crunch!
For added fiber and a ‘hardier’ texture, organic rolled oats were selected.
The final ingredients added to ensure a chocolatey experience were dark chocolate chips, cacao powder, and liquid vanilla extract. Who doesn’t love the combination of hazelnuts and chocolate?
