Today we made a gourmet ‘soft & datey’ protein bar recipe that the customer named ‘Elle’s Apple Berry Explosion’.
The ‘base’ ingredient option chosen for this concoction included date paste, as well as the following three selections:
- Organic peanut butter
- Organic sprouted brown rice protein
- Organic Pea protein isolate
To further boost protein levels by about 1 gram per bar, collagen powder was also chosen.
Here is a list of ingredients that were added to improve texture and increase nutrition levels of ‘Elle’s Apple Berry Explosion’:
- Cocoa butter pieces (healthy fats)
- Pea protein crisps (crunchy, increase protein levels)
- Cacao nibs (chocolate flavor, crunchy, high in antioxidants)
This recipe wouldn’t be complete without two dried fruit additions in order to ensure that it lives up to its name. In this case, both freeze-dried apple and freeze-dried strawberry were added.
For a significant blast of flavor, both vanilla and cinnamon were the final two ingredients added.

What to Expect
Lots of peanut flavor, lots of crunch! The vegan protein will contribute to a slight ‘earthy’ flavor. Although peanut butter will be dominant, a hint of apple, berry and cinnamon will also be present.
