Today we made ‘Curts’ protein bar, which used the ‘soft & datey’ base. In addition to date paste, the customer chose peanut butter, whey isolate, and buckwheat flour as the main ingredients.
To make sure there was some serious peanut flavor, the customer also added dry-roasted split peanuts in addition to the peanut butter. The peanuts also add extra crunch.
For an even more intense flavor, Brazilian coffee and dried blueberries were also added, along with cacao and flaxseed powder to finish this recipe off.
The macros for ‘Curts’ protein bars look like this (per 55g bar): 255 Calories, 13g Fat, 25g Carbs (16g Sugar, 4g Fiber), 11g Protein.
Definitely a substantial peanut/coffee flavor in this one, with a hint of chocolate.
