Today we made a protein bar recipe that the customer called ‘Cashew Dream’. Don’t let the name fool you however–this recipe has an array of flavorful ingredients in addition to cashews.
For the base ingredients, the following were selected:
- Cashew butter
- Fiber syrup
- Date paste
- Brown rice protein
- Pea protein isolate
- Vegan protein blend
Tart cherries and goji berries were to only dried fruit choices for this concoction. Both add to the flavor of the recipe, and also contribute more ‘chewiness’ to each bite.
To increase the levels of crispiness, and boost protein levels, organic pea protein crisps were chosen as one of the ‘flavor & texture enhancers’.
To further improve texture and flavor, oats, cashews, and hemp hearts were added. Hemp hearts also contain significant levels of omega-3 fatty acids.
More flavor enhancing ingredients that were used in ‘Cashew Dream’ are as follows:
- Brazilian coffee
- Vanilla extract
The final ingredient this customer selected was wheatgrass powder. This gluten-free nutrient dense grass contains high levels of vitamins and trace minerals.
