Today we made a protein bar recipe that the customer named ‘Brucie Buster’.
This was a ‘cheat day’ dessert bar that used peanut butter, fiber syrup, and a vegan protein blend for its base. The vegan protein blend consists of hemp protein, organic pea protein, and organic brown rice protein.
Under the ‘texture and flavor enhancers’ category, the customer went with a combination of oats, vanilla extract, cocoa rice crisps, and caramel flavor.
Almonds and chia seeds were each selected under the ‘nuts & seeds’ category.
For dried fruit, raisins and cranberries were selected. Raisins add sweetness, while the cranberries contribute quite a bit of tartness to the flavor profile.
The final ‘booster’ ingredient added to ‘Brucie Buster’ was organic cinnamon powder. It adds a nice flavor, and as a bonus, also contributes significant levels of antioxidants to the recipe.

What to Expect
A slightly earthy, mildly sweet peanut butter/caramel flavor. A hint of cinnamon and tartness from the cranberries will also be noticeable. When it comes to texture, expect quite a bit of crisp and crunch!
