Today we made a protein bar recipe that the customer named ‘Brazil Nut Bars’.
This creation used a combination of almond butter, fiber syrup, and whey protein isolate as the main ingredients.
As you might expect, Brazil nuts were selected under the ‘nuts & seeds’ category, along with organic almonds.
For a coconutty flavor, both dried/shredded organic coconut and organic coconut oil were added.
To add a hint of chocolate, cacao powder and cacao nibs also got the nod. In addition to chocolate flavor, cacao nibs also contribute a nice crunchy texture.
For a flavor boost, a combination of vanilla, cinnamon, and sea salt was added–three ingredients that work synergistically with each other to really enhance flavor.
The final ingredient in ‘Brazil Nut Bars’ was organic wheatgrass powder–a particularly nutrient-dense option that boosts nutrition levels nicely.
